Requiem for a Dream

Requiem for a Dream, has to be one of the hardest movies I've ever watched in my life. Basically, it's about four drug addicts trying to fulfill their dreams, but instead of making it, their lives spiral out of control because of their addictions.
The movie is phenomenally realistic, depicting some of the worse-case scenarios that can happen to drug addicts.
Sigh.
It was sad, because people really don't think about the consequences of their actions. People don't think that the things they do, the people that they're around, have some much affect on them. The characters in the movie basically feed off of each other. They are necessary to each other.
It's an eye opening kind of movie, excellent but sad.
I cried.

I don't know what else to say, I'm basically speechless.
